Each and every patient at Sturner Dentistry provides us with a unique opportunity to reach just a bit higher than the day before, striving to provide the very best in oral and dental care. Achieving that goal requires a steadfast commitment to perpetual learning through keen observation, meticulous and focused effort, and a singular mindset, putting our patients welfare above all.

Doctors

Dr. Harold Sturner DDS, PA

Dr. Sturner was raised in Providence, Rhode Island. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts in addition to completing his pre-dental and medical curriculum. He completed his DDS degree in 1998 at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He then pursued hospital-based General Practice residencies at The University of Illinois at Chicago, The University of Chicago, and Carolinas Medical Center – Now Atrium Health – from 1998-2000. He has been practicing at this location since 2000. His artist’s hands and eyes, his keen attention to technical detail, and his desire to provide the best possible dentistry sets him apart from the crowd.

He resides in Weddington, NC with his beautiful wife and boys. He is an avid basketball fan and working on creating the first all brothers basketball team (6 sons!) He loves playing the saxophone in his spare time.

Dr. Roberto Sabato, DMD

Dr. Sabato was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and moved to Charlotte in the summer of 2001.  He graduated from Myers Park High School in 2011 and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating in 2015 with a double major in Biology and Chemistry and a minor in Italian.

Dr. Sabato knew when he was nine years old that he wanted to be a dentist and spent most of his life working towards that goal.  He attended East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 2020.  He returned back to Charlotte and spent two years at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center where he completed his General Practice Residency program in 2022.  After spending some time working in the University area, Dr. Sabato joined Dr. Sturner’s practice in October of 2023.

Dr. Sabato and his wife Rachel are very happy to be back in Charlotte with their friends and families.  In his spare time, he practices Tae Kwon Do during the week and loves spending his weekends exploring all that Charlotte has to offer.
