Harold Strurner DDS, PA
Dr. Sturner was raised in Providence, Rhode Island. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts in addition to completing his pre-dental and medical curriculum. He completed his DDS degree in 1990 at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He then pursued General Practice Residencies at The University of Illinois, Chicago and at the Carolina Medical Center from 1998-2000. He has been practicing at this location since 2000. His keen attention to detail and desire to provide the best possible dentistry sets him apart from the crowd.
He resides in Weddington, NC with his beautiful wife and boys. He is an avid basketball fan and working on creating the first all brothers basketball team (6 sons!) He loves playing the saxophone in his spare time.
Deepti Anne Reji, BDS, DMD, MPH
Dr. Reji grew up in Kenya. She graduated from Manipal University, India in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery. She completed her Masters in International Public Health at University of Sydney, Australia. While in Australia, she completed a number of continuing education courses through the University of Melbourne. Having gained work experience, she moved to the United States, where she pursued her DMD degree at Tufts School of Dental Medicine.
Her international dental experience enables her to relate to patients of all walks of life. She believes that the foundation to achieving good oral health starts with patient education and places emphasis on preventative methods and quality pain-free treatments. Her passion for treating patients as a whole is seen in her desire to listen to her patients’ needs and wants, then formulating conservative treatment plans. Her laid back, gentle manner puts patients at ease.
She lives in Fort Mill with her husband and son. She enjoys meeting new people and going on gastronomic adventures. Be sure to ask what her favorite restaurants are!
Ellie Mcadams , RDH
Ellie is (almost!) a Charlotte native. After graduating from Charlotte Christian School in 2012, she pursued her Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene at the UNC at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) and graduated in 2016. She loves cultivating long-lasting relationships with her patients and helping them achieve optimal oral health through personalized recommendations. She enjoys being a part of the Sturner dentistry team and vision, and is proud to be a hygienist at such a distinguished and reputable practice. Outside of work, you can find her cooking, exercising, traveling, attending church, and spending time with friends and family.
Chelsey Kuczmanski, RDH
Chelsey’s journey with our practice started when she was 4 years old, coming as a patient! She loved her dental visits so much over the years that she was inspired to become a dental hygienist. Chelsey graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2012 with a Bachelor in Dental Hygiene. After graduation she ventured to Ethiopia to do oral hygiene education and further her research on how AIDS/HIV effects the mouth. She was delighted to join our team in 2014, as it meant working alongside her past dentists and hygienists! Her love of travel led her to live in Kenya for 7 months in 2018, but she is happy to be back serving our patients in South Charlotte. Chelsey and her husband live uptown, where they are the event planners for the apartment community they live in. Between hygiene and event planning, she enjoys hiking, yoga and scoping out different international cuisines around Charlotte!
Kristen Skasko, RDH
Kristen has been a member of our Sturner Dentistry team since September 2017. She is a Charlotte native who grew up in Locust, NC and currently resides in Wesley Chapel. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2016. Kristen has always had a passion for dentistry ever since she was little and is excited to grow lasting relationships with you. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her family and boyfriend, whether it is traveling or exploring the outdoors and camping with her dog, working out or cheering on the Panthers.
Donna Winter Lacek , RDH
Donna graduated in 1978 from West Virginia University of Technology. She started her career in West Virginia, working for her father, who was a dentist. She gained experience in different states as she moved with her family before settling in Charlotte. She had the great privilege of working for and being mentored by a doctor that started the dental program at Vanderbilt.
Donna has had a long standing relationship with the office when she started here in 1987 and has a loyal following of patients who love her! She loves being a grandmother to three old Jace and is eagerly waiting on grandson number two! In her free time she loves dabbling in jewelry making, going on treasure hunts with her friends, hanging out with her ever growing family and watching Mountaineer Football and basketball.
Anne M. Duffy, RDH
Anne is a passionate, dedicated member of the dental community and she works diligently to empower others to strengthen themselves and the dental profession. Anne graduated from The Ohio State University in 1974 and has 45 years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
She was hired by Dr. Craig Murray in 1994 and has loved continuing to practice dental hygiene with Dr. Harold Sturner. “He is the best dentist I have ever worked for and our new associate, Dr. Deepti Anne Reji, is the perfect addition to our team!” Anne loves her patients, her colleagues and is proud to offer the excellent dentistry provided by Dr. Sturner and Dr. Reji.
When Anne is not in the office, she works tirelessly as editor and publisher of both Dental Entrepreneur and Dental entrepreneur Woman magazines with the goal of attracting amazing people to dentistry and helping them to maximize their careers. She is building up the DeW Life community as a movement to continue to advance women in dentistry and the causes they advocate.
Vivi Petterson , CDA
Vivi received her Certified Dental Assisting diploma in 1999 from Central Piedmont Community College. She has been a dental assistant for 21 years. She is a Charlotte native and first generation Greek and is fluent in Greek.
She is kind, gentle and here to make you feel comfortable as you get treatment. She enjoys baking, cooking, relaxing by the pool, hiking and spending time with her husband and two children. She has been a part of the Sturner Dentistry team since January 2019.
Janine Brewington , DA
Janine has been working in the dental field since 2015. She started as a hygiene assistant in Raleigh, NC and joined our team in 2016 as a full-fledged assistant. She has a wonderful husband and two beautiful children that she loves spending all her free time with. When she is not working hard, you can find her at a Knights game or a Queen concert. We are always on guard at the office to avoid being captured on her scare cam!
Beth loves working in a profession that makes people smile more. Dentistry can change people’s lives. She has worked in the dental field for 25 years. She feels privileged to work with such a wonderful team at Sturner Dentistry. She loves her job! She also loves being able to interact with our patients and gaining relationships with them. On a more personal note; her family is her treasure. She has two beautiful adult children who have chosen two beautiful people to live their lives with and she could not be happier. In Beth’s words “I am a “Glamma” and that is my most important role in my life. My family and friend relationships are my priority. I love most anything that is Texas related (being that it is my home, except the Dallas Cowboys).”
Kelly is a local Charlotte native! She has had an interest in dentistry since high school and was finally able to pursue these interest in 2009. Kelly has been a team member with Sturner Dentistry since 2012. She has a knowledge of both clinical and administrative components of the dental office. She loves to help patients and make sure that all of our patients feel special and welcomed here at Sturner Dentistry. Kelly is married and has three grown children who all live local to Charlotte also. She loves cooking, traveling and spending time with her three dogs; Blackjack, Stella and Sweet Pea.
