Drs Sturner and Sabato prefer to schedule adult new patients for an hour on the same day (before or after) their cleaning (children can usually be seen for all appropriate exams/cleaning/X-rays in 30 total minutes). This allows for a thorough exam, discussion about appropriate X-rays (we prefer to take as few as possible!) and deep dives (if needed) on any questions patients might have. Sometimes we achieve all goals in 15 minutes. Other times it takes the entire hour. Each patient is unique!
